Evidence: StrongMagnesium
• Mg • Magnesium glycinate • Magnesium L-threonate • Magtein
COMPOUND PROFILE Elemental magnesium (salt-dependent)
THE 30-SECOND VERDICT
Magnesium is an essential nutrient with EFSA-authorized functions for muscle and nervous system when the product meets claim conditions. Specific brain-fog marketing is not those claims.
Magnesium salts are not interchangeable. Glycinate is a common evening capsule. L-threonate is a patented chelate studied for brain magnesium measurements. Oxide is cheap and poorly absorbed.
WHAT PEOPLE USE IT FOR
- ✓ Evening wind-down routines
- ✓ Electrolyte mixes after training
WHAT THE EVIDENCE ACTUALLY PROVES
- ● EFSA has authorized magnesium claims tied to nutrient function, not disease.
- ● L-threonate has dedicated RCTs; sample sizes remain modest.
- ✕ High doses of citrate/oxide can cause GI distress. Not a sleep drug.
